Illustrated Super
What can I make an illustrated book on London about?
I want to make an exciting editorial about London and maybe focusing on its hectic side. The imagery part is not a problem, but I am stuck for ideas as to what I can base some sort of story on. Part of me was thinking about focusing on the sounds you might hear all day long, eg police, cars beeping, people chatting, etc. Anyone have any super ideas?
A more positive start would be the sound of a London taxi starting up and then a gradual increase in sound of the old London markets, Like the Fish market that used to be at billingsgate and Covent garden with it's Costermongers shouting their wares. You could then change to the sound of a London bus before you eventually, got to the sound of the thronging people at a Harrods or Selfridges sale. Once you reach the evening you could introduce the throbbing sounds of The Ministry of Sound nightclub and the roar of the souped up custom cars on the Kings road.
